This piece was composed by Ludwig van Beethoven, who began composing in 1796-1803, this period Beethoven premieres his first symphony and meets some of the women who will have a major influence on his music. Beethoven took a long time to compose this piano concerto to the point that on the first time that he performed this piece, the piano notes were not completely written. In the first performance, Beethoven was a soloist and improvised in the part that he did not completely write.

 

Piano Concerto No.3 in C minor  begins with a slow, steady, straightforward note with a clear melody and harmony like announcing that war is beginning. Within the piece there are many expressions whether mellow or fierce, especially during the cadenza that feels very heavy and intense. At the end of the piece, the orchestra moves harder and the piano doubles over the orchestra to create a pattern, shining and pushing to the grand ending.

This piece is also known as "War sonata" ; it was composed by Sergei Prokofiev, who took 3 years to compose this sonata during World War II (1939-1942). He wrote during the time that he was in the Caucasus, to which he had fled from Moscow to escape the approaching German invaders. He was clearly caught up in the horrors of the conflict when writing the present piece. Strife, anxiety, bitterness, and a fearsome fervor explode through its pages.

 

This piano sonata is considered one of the most difficult of Prokofiev’s works, it gives a feeling of intense violence with a lot of dissonance throughout the song. He composed this piece with innovative ideas that break the traditional style of composition, namely he does not use the clear and direct melody like in previous eras, but mainly focuses on conveying emotions.

 

In the Precipitato (3rd movement), it gives a feeling of bitterness, violence, and bouncing like you cannot control your emotions.

Princess Kaguya

The story of grandparents who make a career cutting bamboo. One day, while Grandpa was cutting bamboo, he found glowing bamboo sprouts growing from the ground. When the bamboo shoots opened, there was a little girl inside. Grandpa hurriedly brought the girl back home and decided with Grandma to raise a child because they believed that girls are gifts sent from heaven. When Kaguya grew up, her grandparents decided to move to the capital and let the princess live a noble life. She doesn't like this kind of life, but she loves her grandparents very much. Then on the full moon day, there was a procession of angels to take her back, no one could stop her. Kaguya returns to the moon and forgets everything that happened on the Earth.

Laputa - Castle in the sky

The story of Pasu, an orphan boy who lives in a town that is famous for its mining career. It is a dilapidated city in the midst of green nature. One day, Pasu meets a girl named Cheetah who is a former princess of the floating city named "Laputa". She always wears a crystal which made her hunted by pirates who wanted to steal and possess it until she fell from the airship, but with some power of this mysterious crystal, she gradually floated down and Pasu found her. But then the pirates were not harassed yet. Causing Pazu and Cheetah to work together to overcome obstacles while trying to find answers about Crystal and Laputa.

Naucicaa of the valley of the wind

1000 years after the Great War, the Jihl empire, which is a city along the sea coast or another name is “Valley of the Wind Kingdom”, the only city in this region still inhabited under the heroic rule of Princess Nausicaa. The population in the city are still struggling with Ohmu, a swarm of giant insects in a poisonous forest area that is spreading all over the world. Other city that were far away and still surviving also found a way to revive the giant warrior to destroy the poisonous forest and eliminate the hordes of Ohmu, Princess Nausicaa and the townspeople cooperate together to restrain and restore the bond between humans and nature on earth.

Princess Mononoke

The story of a prince from a small tribe named "Ashitaka" he must try to muster up his courage in order to fight with the giant wild boar demon, which is the god of the wild boar that is furious and crazy because of some anger. But even so, Prince Ashitaka was able to defeat the Boar God. But in exchange for a curse that was embedded on his right arm, which could be fatal. That's why the prince has to go on an adventure to find a way to remove the curse from the words of the wandering priest by looking for the deer god in the mountains in the west but this mountain was filled with many giant beast gods. In that vicinity there is a village led by Eboshi, a strong woman gathering iron ore to make firearms against the samurai and the divine beasts. Princess Mononoke, a young girl who was raised up by the wolf gods against Eboshi who wants to destroy the god beasts. That's why Prince Ashitaka, who was looking for the deer god, had to come as an intermediary and fix the problem. But the stories had gradually gone far and wide until many frightening events occurred.
