Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) was a German composer who played an important role in the development of music at the junction between the Classical and Romantic eras. He is regarded as the greatest composer and initiator of the peculiarities of romanticism, the most emotional style.

 

In the 1790s, his hearing was getting worse, he elaborated on his last work, which is considered one of the greatest works in history, Symphony no.9 before his death in 1827 and he became a model for later composers.
